Seema Patel MD, MPH is a recognized leader in the field of advanced skincare and age management. Dr Patel matriculated at The University of Michigan for undergraduate training. After obtaining her medical degree at The Ohio State University, she completed her medical residency at The University of Illinois at Chicago. She joined the teaching department at The University of Illinois and attended at Cook County Medical Center. Dr Patel returned to The University of Michigan to earn her masters degree in public policy at prestigious School of Public Health.

She is a Fellow of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, member of the Society of Dermatology SkinCare Specialists, the Medical Spa Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Association and the Philadelphia Medical Association. She is the recipient of many national academic honors and awards and she is an expert injector of Restylane and Botox Cosmetic®. Dr. Patel has lectured nationally as an expert on the use of lasers and lights in skin rejuvenation, injectables and the development of a medical spa practice.

Currently, she is Medical Director and President of The Institute for Advanced Skincare & Optimal Health which includes ShantiMedSpa. Additionally, she is President of OptimalHealthToday.com, an online distributor of optimal health content. Finally, she is a national spokesperson and highly sought after speaker and industry consultant in the field of Age Management. As an example, she has partnered with the Cenegenics Institute, the world’s largest age management facility. Dr Patel has personally treated thousands of patients with the latest advanced skincare strategies as the Medical Director of The Institute for Advanced Skincare and Optimal Health. We now recognize that the condition of the skin is the external manifestation of our body's internal condition. Poor diet, behaviors such as smoking, poor nutritional supplementation, hormonal disorders and untreated medical disorders are reflected in our skin's appearance. The ability to treat these factors in concert permits the results of a skin intervention and maintenance skin care to be much more successful and sustainable over time.
